Raspberry, spinach and green tea smoothie

Green tea is often thought of these days as a superfood, with its rich source of catechins, polyphenols and theanine. Most of us choose it as a delicious instant hot drink, but why keep it to tea time when there are easy and wonderful ways to enjoy its fantastic health benefits.
A smoothie is a great way to enjoy a green tea burst. You can add to any combination but if you are stuck for ideas try our tasty Raspberry, Spinach and Green Tea Smoothie recipe to start your day with a zing!
Ingredients
- 2 handfuls of raspberries (frozen or fresh)
- 1 handful of spinach leaves
- 1 pear, quartered and cored
- 1/2 tsp of Higher Nature Green Tea granules
- 1/8 of a watermelon, peeled
- Juice of half a lemon
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- Cup of cold water
Instructions
Add all ingredients to your smoothie maker and blend for 60 seconds, or until smooth. If you don’t have a smoothie maker you can still enjoy this tasty smoothie by adding all the ingredients to a tall jug and blitzing with a stick style soup blender.
Other ways to enjoy green tea
Use Green Tea granules to make your favourite iced teas. Add mint leaves, fresh lime and Zylosweet to make a great spin on the classic iced tea- or even a green tea mojito mocktail.
