Food state supplements have evolved 

We helped to pioneer food state supplements over 20 years ago, and back then the gold-standard was fermented nutrients which involved incorporating synthetic vitamins and minerals with yeast and food components which formed a fermented "food-like" complex.  

This is still what most of the currently available "food state" supplements on the market are today.

Whilst these are arguably different from standard isolated synthetic vitamins and minerals; they are still not truly food.

Paving the way

20 years ago, Higher Nature was the very first UK supplement company to bring the concept of True Food to market. Back then the gold standard of food state supplements was taking a food based pulp, mixed with yeast and adding synthetic vitamins and minerals. The yeast would then ferment the paste and create 'food state' supplements. The industry has since moved on...

Other brands claim their supplements are 'grown from food'. In truth, their supplements start from a mixture of synthetic vitamins and minerals, added to a food-based paste, forming the foundation of their products.
